In the middle of the past century, contemporary dance was born from the hands of Isadora Duncan, who didn´t want to follow strict classical ballet dance forms, but instead wanted to explore simple, natural, unconventional movements, creativity and freedom of expression. Contemporary dances express a concept, an emotion, tells a story o simply investigates movement, to flee from what´s already known. It´s a language that follows social, psychological, political and historical changes in society.
